I am a Research Fellow at the Politics of Race and Ethnicity Lab at the University of Texas at Austin. I am also currently a co-investigator on the All Minorities at Risk (AMAR) project.
I was previously (2017-2021) an Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science at the University of Amsterdam.
My research focuses on sociopolitical issues related to ethnicity, gender, elections and nationalism. In broad terms, I am interested in how social diversity influences individuals’ political attitudes and behaviour.
I am also a ‘specialist’ of Canadian/Quebec politics. Many of my studies investigate the Canadian/Quebec political context. I have as well been a regular contributor in the news media to analyse political developments in Canada.
While my research has concentrated on Western European and Anglo-American cases, I am in fact interested by sociopolitical phenomena throughout the world.
To date, my work has, notably, been published in Comparative Political Studies, Ethnic and Racial Studies, and Electoral Studies.
